          在澳门金沙城中心,底气成为女孩,从事和准备未来。雷米尔澳门金沙城中心,首先在我们的创始家族,传达ESTA情绪最好的:“我们的目的不是东西,心灵与文着未消化的知识,而是培养其权力,使学生有可能想为自己。 “今天,传统培养学生的批判性思维能力,以及其他21世纪技能,激励着我们两个教学方法和课程,提供相关课程的选修课,通过从大学预科到高级课程(AP),并深入奖学金和先进的产品。教师和导师的标准很高,因为都是提供,以确保学生的成功经验的关心和支持水平

          每天的日程安排

          在澳门金沙城中心,女生参加班周一至周五,我们每天的日程整个一周被分成三个时间主要时期。学术日(8:15-2:40)早餐后开始,并包括42分钟的七个类别,午餐和一个额外的帮助的时期。一名或多名学生度过他们的下午(3:00-6:30)小时从事各种活动,运动队和健身课程。最后,傍晚时分提供学生与时间放松和享受之前自习晚餐(7:30-9:30)。

        • Congrats to Ms. Lawler on Another Published Book!

          Grier congratulates 英语 Department Head Ms. Kara Lawler on the publication of her second book. The book, titled Everywhere Holy, debuts on December 3rd in stores and online retailers nationwide through HarperCollins/Thomas Nelson publishing. Her journey from idea to the book’s realization was extensive, a lesson in the reward of hardwork and perseverance that Ms. Lawler can share first-hand with the budding writers in her 英语 classes.

        • Spanish students in Sra. Liegel's classes celebrated the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos by creating and decorating sugar skulls. At the end of the day, the students placed the sugar skulls on display in an ofrenda, an offering, to the spirits of deceased ancestors. The students added flowers, salt, water, papel picado, fruit, and bread to the ofrenda, located in Nana's Place, a student lounge.

          For Grier senior and native New Yorker,  Alexandra H., Washington D.C. was the place to be this summer.  There, she explored her career interest in Criminology by attending a Forensic 科学 program and a National Security and Central Intelligence program at the American University, as well as, a Crime Scene Investigation course through George Washington University.

          Grier Senior Rachel P. spent a week in Chicago this summer where she attended a program in Medical Ethics through Loyola University. In last year’s 英语11, Rachel got a taste of Medical Ethics doing a research paper in conjunction with the novel Frankenstein and she was eager to learn more about this fascinating topic. Grier’s 科学 courses, including Psychology, examine medical ethics questions as well.

        • Teachers Attend Modern Language Seminar

          For Grier teachers, learning never stops! For example, four teachers from Grier's Modern Language Department attended a program at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The IUP Annual Spring Methodology Conference on Foreign Language Teaching provides professional development to Grier's language teachers, keeping their classroom approaches and philosophies aligned with current best practices. They apply this knowledge to their Grier classrooms, providing premier language instruction in French and Spanish.

        • Grier Congratulates the Class of 2019!

          After days of special events and celebrations for Seniors, things culminated with Grier’s 166th Commencement Ceremony. Families, friends, teachers, and staff gathered on Lodge Lawn on a beatiful, sunny Saturday morning to witness the graduation. Junior class servers attended the graduating seniors who proceeded down the Colonnade in their long white gowns. Director Dr. Douglas Grier welcomed everyone. Senior members of the National Honor Society gave speeches, along with the valedictorian and Salutatorian. Head of School, Mrs. Gina Borst presented senior awards and, along with Dr. Grier and Ms. Cari Crago, the diplomas. Mr. Andrew Grier welcomed the new 女校友 and Student Council President led the closing prayer before everyone sang Grier's Alma Mater.

        • Grier Rocks Envirothon!

          Three teams of Grier students competed against other area high schools in an Envirothon event hosted by Juniata College at the Raystown Lake Field Station on Raystown Lake in Huntingdon Country, Pennsylvania. One Grier team came in 3rd place! Rachel S, Clare E, Abby S, and Maggie A also tied for high score in current events as well as placing 3rd.
